IDFA XL: EDITING

The 2016 edition of the IDFA focused on editing in their special program ‘Assembling Reality’. Together with the IDFA, the NCE organized a unique and international program for editors.

On Saturday, November 19 2016, there was a full-day program, starting with a masterclass with renowned Scandinavian editor Niels Pagh Andersen (a.o. THE ACT OF KILLING en THE LOOK OF SILENCE), followed by an IDFA Industry Talk, in which Anne Fabini, Sara Kolster, Per K. Kirkegaard (ARMADILLO) and Claudio Hughes (STRANDED) discussed their work and different approaches. Later that afternoon, there was a special screening of HOSPITAL (1969), with an elaborate Q&A with director/editor Frederick Wiseman. The day closed with a mixer.
